Presentation Guidelines
Oral Presentations
All Oral Presentations are scheduled to last 10 minutes. which is allocated as 7 minutes for the Oral Presentation followed by 2 minutes of questions and 1 minute for change over to the next Presentation.
Presentations that are shortlisted for either an SVK Sedation Award or a Young Scientist Research Award last 12 minutes (8’ presentation, 2’ questions and 1’ for change).
Time Keeping:
This will be strictly monitored by the appointed Chairpersons who will signal the end of the presentation period and the start of questioning.
It is advisable to have several rehearsals of your presentation so that you will be able to deliver it within the allotted period of 7 minutes.
We would like to remind you that the audience consists mainly of Academics and Paediatric Dentists, so we advise you to concentrate your presentation on AIMS, METHODS, RESULTS and CONCLUSIONS and minimize or even avoid lengthy background or introduction sections. Therefore, please limit your Presentation to a maximum of 10 slides.
Audio-Visual Equipment:
A data projector and a laptop will be available in each presentation room. Presenters will not be able to use their own laptops as there is insufficient time to allow for swap over.
Presentations:
A preview room will be located within the venue where presenters can check their presentation. Staff will be able to assist in giving directions to this room if necessary. There will also be a Speaker's Room where the presenters should upload their presentation, preferably with in a USB stick, the day before the presentation or at the latest in the morning of the day of their presentation between 8:00-8:30 am.
Please attend your session at least 10 minutes beforehand to introduce yourself to the Session Chairs and familiarise yourself with the podium, laser pointer etc. All Presenters will receive a Congress Certificate from their Session Chair following their Presentation.
Poster Presentations with Discussion
E-poster submission:
e-Posters will be available throughout Conference dates in one of the e-Poster stations at the venue. No printed posters will be displayed. All registered authors should have received a personalized link to upload their e-poster file. Please contact scientific2026@eapdcongress.com if you haven’t received this link.
Please prepare an electronic file poster in horizontal (landscape) orientation. The e-Poster files should be in PDF format and have a maximum size of 8 MB. The PDF files should display the posters on a single page, as if they were printed for in-person presentation. Please use a minimum resolution of 150 dpi for any pictures displayed.
Delegates can view the posters during the breaks and before the allotted time for the Poster Presentation Discussion sessions. They will also be available in the official EAPD 2026 mobile app.
Poster Content and Layout:
• Posters should include a title corresponding to the title of the abstract, the abstract ID number emailed to you and the authors and their affiliations.
• A small photograph of the presenting author at the top of the poster.
• The content should match that submitted for your abstract.
• The amount of written text should be kept to a minimum by using key words and phrases.
• Keep the layout simple and do not overload with text.
Time Keeping:

Posters that are shortlisted for a Clinical Cases Poster Award last 7 minutes (4’ presentation, 2’ questions and 1’ for change).
The chairperson of the session will closely monitor the timing of the presentations.
