BSPD Members who wish to apply for a BSPD Prize should submit their abstract by using a submission form specifically designed for this purpose.

Prize Eligibility Criteria

BSPD Research Prize: Early Career Researchers (where the applicant has undertaken a PhD, they should not be more than one-year post-doctorate). Clinical research projects only , Researchers with laboratory-based studies or systematic reviews should consider the poster prize.

BSPD Clinical Prize: Non-consultant grade (or equivalent) clinicians. Clinical cases should demonstrate complex, novel or multidisciplinary treatments provided for a child. It is expected that presenters will have personally performed some of the treatment, not just undertaken a diagnostic work up, for the patient they present.

BSPD Poster Prize: BSPD members and seeks entries from non-consultant grade (or equivalent) clinicians

Jane Goodman Clinical Governance Prize: Non-consultant grade (or equivalent) clinicians. Projects submitted under this category must demonstrate the key aspects of an area of clinical governance – this includes quality improvement, clinical audit, patient safety and patient experience.

DCP Poster Prize: Registered dental care professionals
